Pressure
As I drove through the McDonald's drive-thru the other day (yes, I sometimes actually eat McDonald's...guilty pleasure), I got asked "Do you want to donate a dollar to the xyz children's fund?" I seriously did not even catch the name of the charity because I was already sweating. I knew I was going to be asked this question and I knew how I would respond: yes. Of course I am happy that corporate America is doing its part to help charities in need, and of course I support several charities on my own. But I have begun to dread trips to the grocery store, through the drive-thru etc. because I know I'm going to get asked the $1.00 question. And do you know why I respond "yes"? Partly because I want to and it's the right thing to do, but partly because if I don't, well, I look like an a-hole. Who wants to be the a-hole that says no?

I'm an ahole apparently...We budget our donations and once a year we get the gratification of doling it out ourselves. Guilt be gone: )
I am so grateful to you for always supporting me and donating to the Breast Cancer 3 Day! In my book, you're the anti-hole!
