Will Turns One

Today is Will's first birthday! I can't believe how quickly the last year has flown. I have to admit, when he was first born and I was in the throes of exhaustion and the endless work that comes with a newborn, it felt like time was in slow motion. But as the year went on, time just went faster and faster. He is so much fun these days - walking, talking, and getting a sense of humor - and I am so blessed to be his mama. Yes, motherhood is hard. Yes, it's exhausting in ways I never imagined, both physically and emotionally. But it's also sweeter and richer than I imagined, too. So today at 12:51pm, I will say a little prayer of thanks for my baby boy. Life will never be the same - and neither will I.
