Not Again

Well, it happened again--Will injured himself. Fortunately, this time it was minor, but it's visible, nonetheless. This morning we went to eat breakfast at a restaurant around the corner from our house. The restaurant was playing jazz music, and Will was be-bopping to the tune while sitting in the highchair. Many of you fellow parents know how low some of those restaurant highchairs are, and how high the tables are that the highchair has to be pulled up to. As a result, Will's head wasn't far from the table-top, so he be-bopped his head (mouth, really) right into the side of the table. One minute he's jamming to the tune, the next minute he's smacking his face (and I mean SMACK) into the table. Turns out the little guy chipped his front tooth. Seriously? How is it possible that my sweet, pure baby boy already has so many marked signs of injury and scars (hands, eye and now, snaggle-tooth). The good news is that the tooth will eventually fall out (in about six years…sigh), but it's still upsetting.

I can imagine how bummed you are, I would be too. But just think, he will blend in with most boys now! Poor Will, he was just enjoying the music.

Musings on motherhood, career, family and anything else that floats into my mind. Lucky you.
