Welcome to Monday

As I was getting ready for work this morning, Billy went into Will's room to get him up and dressed for the day. I shouted out to Billy that he would find clean clothes for Will in the dryer; I had done a large load of Will's clothes and blankets last night before I went to bed.

A few minutes later, Billy walks into our bedroom and proceeds to tell me he has bad news. Turns out somehow a purple crayon made it's way into the load of laundry and all of the items were stained with bright purple marks all over them, including my baby blanket my aunt knitted for me when I was born and the blanket Will's great aunt Betty made for him when he was born.

Since most of Will's shorts, pajamas and a good portion of his shirts were in that load of stained laundry, I guess I need to go out and buy him a new wardrobe (can't replace those blankets, though). Lesson learned: now that Will is capable of "hiding" things in his pockets, must do a thorough check before each wash, unless I want to go broke buying toddler outfits.

Such a bummer...ours was a blue crayon and it managed to survive several loads in the dryer before I figured it out.

Musings on motherhood, career, family and anything else that floats into my mind. Lucky you.
